Daft Punk Inspired Makeup

If you've been a subscriber of mine since the beginning there's a good chance you would know my first creative makeup look ever was inspired by none other then DAFT PUNK! It looked like garbage. Well I decided to revisit that look, see what I could come up with now.

Back in 2007 I had the opportunity to see Daft Punk live at Lollapalooza (a music festival held in Chicago every year). If you've been to a Daft Punk concert you would know how awesome their light show is. I was inspired by 3 things for this look.

1. Their helmets. Daft Punk doesnt perform with their face showing, instead they perform with helmets on.

2. Their light show at their concerts. Bright neon colors!!

3. The Interstella Cartoon Characters. Those characters are actually all blue, but I tried to do a more updated version of them.

Daft Punks music has a very futuristic vibe. Their music videos are very odd and unordinary so I wanted to capture that with my look. I tried to make my natural features appear different. Slimmer nose, smaller/plumpier lips, defined cheekbones and larger than usual eyes. By changing my features I appear more alien like, not of this world.

Here are some pictures I took at of Daft Punk at Lollapalooza.

Here's me sweating it up at the concert! :D
